Christmas Eve

Well we arrived in Cherry Hill, New Jersey yesterday! We drove to Jasper on Monday because we will be returning there after Christmas and will be there through the new year. So yesterday we flew from Birmingham to Memphis and from Memphis to Philadelphia (there were no direct flights--it makes sense--I promise!). Both flights were delayed. When we arrived in Memphis we had about 5 minutes to run to our gate to catch the next plane (so we thought). We got to the gate and found out that the flight to Philly was delayed as well. We ended up arriving in Philly about an hour and a half later than scheduled. And we're glad to be here!!

We came to NJ for Christmas because we haven't been up here since before Ally was born. My grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins (on my dad's side) have never met the girls. Today is Christmas Eve and we headed to my grandmother's assisted living place so she could meet Ally & Claire. It was incredible seeing how happy she was--her face just lit up when we walked in!!

We visited with grandmom for awhile. Then we went to the Christmas Eve candlelight service at church. After the service we went back to Aunt Norma's house (where we are staying this week) for dinner and chocolate fondue for dessert!!

Ally knew it was Christmas Eve and was very anxious to get in bed so Santa could come! Here she is hanging her stocking on Aunt Norma's piano.
