The Iron Bowl 2008

Today was the last regular season game for Alabama--The Iron Bowl against Auburn! Auburn has beaten Alabama the last six years so we were REALLY needing a win today (and the fact that we needed to stay undefeated).

The Day After Thanksgiving

Today Brent's sister Jill, her husband Dave, and their two boys Grayson and Griffin came to visit. They live in Fort Worth, TX and we don't seem them often so we were happy to be able to spend time with them.

Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving--a day where I am in awe of God's wonderful blessings. I am thankful for so many things: a Lord and Savior who loves me unconditionally, a loving/caring husband who is the spiritual leader of our household, two tender-hearted/fun-loving daughters, Christian parents and in-laws who raised us right (I pray that I can follow in their footsteps), brother/sister-in-laws who love our family, and I could go on and on. And the simple things: a roof over our heads, food on our table, a home-business that's thriving, and Brent's wonderful job with Cummins (I'm sooo very proud of my hubby).

Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power
and the glory and the majesty and the splendor,
for everything in heaven and earth is yours.
Yours, O LORD, is the kingdom;
you are exalted as head over all.

Wealth and honor come from you;
you are the ruler of all things.
In your hands are strength and powerto exalt and give strength to all.
Now, our God, we give you thanks,
and praise your glorious name.
1 Chronicles 29:11-13
This year we are spending our Thanksgiving with Brent's family in Alabama. We woke up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and then watched football.
