My 29th Birthday!

Well, today I turned the big 2-9!! I spent it doing some of my favorite things with some of my favorite people. It's tax free weekend here in Tennessee so the girls and I headed to the mall (plus I had coupons for Gymboree and GAP!!). We got there at 11 a.m. and went straight to Gymboree (Those of you that know me well know that I'm addicted to Gymboree. I just LOVE dressing the girls alike and having the total outfit with matching socks, shoes, bows, etc.). I bought several outfits and then we decided it was time for lunch. We ate at Chick-fil-A in the food court (along with everyone else and their brother--sooo crowded!).

We ate our lunch and then hit the Disney Store, Baby GAP, and The Children's Place. I got the girls a few shirts at GAP and 2 pairs of jeans each at TCP. Then Ally and I both enjoyed chocolate dipped cones from Dairy Queen--YUM!! After that we headed across the street to Target and got some necessities: formula, toothpaste, and contact solution--exciting!! We left Target and I delivered a bow order and we headed home to pickup Brent. Then back to the mall we went! I thought I'd actually try and shop for myself but I didn't find anything. Brent found a nice tie for himself at Banana Republic and was able to use the Friends & Family coupon I had. Then we had dinner at one of my favorite restaurants--Jim 'N Nick's. They have the BEST cheese biscuits!They didn't have anything I really wanted for dessert so we left and went to Barnes & Noble.
We really enjoy going to Barnes & Noble as a family and go there often. Ally always heads straight to the American Girl section and chooses some books to "read" on the stage.
This time Claire wanted to join in on the fun!
Then we headed to Chili's for dessert. Ally and I shared a Chocolate Chip Paradise Pie and Brent and Claire shared a chocolate shake.

By this time we were all pretty exhausted and headed home to open presents. Ally made me 2 "cards" for my birthday. She insisted on using Holiday Inn stationary from a recent trip to Nashville. On one card she wrote "Happy Birthday" in her own cute invented spelling and on the other she wrote "Ally." She even wrapped them in a gift bag--sooo cute!!
Brent got me a camera bag for my new Canon Rebel XT that he had gotten me for our anniversary and the DVD 27 Dresses.So, Happy Birthday to me! It was a great day!
